Glass fiber banding tape ISOGLAS®
Composition
ISOGLAS® F 0710 and H 0720 and H 0730 are unidirectional glass fibre tapes impregnated with thermosetting polyester resin B-staged.
Properties
ISOGLAS® F 0710 and H 0720 and H 0730 have high tensile strength combined with low elongation and high moisture resistance after curing. The resin system gives sufficient resin flow after application to laminate the tape layers into a compact and resistant bandage.
Applications
ISOGLAS® F 0710 is designed for use as winding restraints on DC-traction machines but it is also suitable for endwinding bracing of high voltage motors and generators. ISOGLAS F 0710 is also used for the banding of transformer cores. ISOGLAS® H 0720 and H 0730 are specially used for motors which are exposed to thermal overloads.
Availability

Packing: each roll individually sealed in polyethylene.
Storability
Originally packed in polyethylene:
- Min. 6 months at 20° C.
- Min. 12 months at 5° C.
Processing advice
When applying ISOGLAS® tape it is recommended to preheat the armature to about 110-130° C and apply a tension of
about 1000 N/cm to the tape. This ensures that > 50 % of the applied tension will remain in the bandage after curing
and prevents a loosening of the bandage after cooling down or in service.
After fixing the end of the tape (e. g. with a soldering iron) curing should be done according to listed curing conditions.
